As I Am, With You…

…and As We Are, With You.
.
This is the first of twelve in a series, or collaboration, that I will be creating along with some other moms and photographers… called As We Are, With You. I only know two of these moms at this point, but I’m sure it won’t be long before I feel I know the others, and I look forward to glimpses of them all as we all capture ourselves with our children. {Andrea and Naomi… thank you for considering me to be a part of your 2016 collaboration! It’s an honor to do this with photographers I’ve come to really respect and admire.}
One of these friends, Naomi, was the one who came up with the idea for the collaboration for 2016 {although they’ve all been collaborating together for a few years on other projects before I joined in}.
So it’s her words, eloquently put, that I will use. She has her multiple kids with her in her home, while I only have Isaac here. But I’ll leave her words as she wrote them, because though they are plural, they echo exactly my thoughts about this collaboration…

a new year…..
a new project…..
i am super excited to start this new project with my photography friends….
i take oodles (and oodles) of photos of the kiddos….
but, i’d like my boys to one day see that i was there too….
so, once a month, i will try to get in the frame with them…..
whether i want to or not…. 🙂
just as i am….
without further ado….

So lovely Georgia! So glad to have you with us this year!
Thank you, Erin. I’m really happy to be a part of the group!
I’m looking forward to this! I miss seeing you and Isaac, so this will be my glimpse of him as he grows and of you, as well, my friend!
Thanks, Sheri. I figure, if I can’t handle one a week, I can at least handle one a month. Not really thrilled about being in the photos, but glad I’m pushing myself to do it.
Im so happy you are joining us! (And you are sweet to credit me with the idea even though it wasn’t an original idea–came upon it somewhere while perusing the web… ;)) anyways, i love the idea and am realizing how important it is for us to get in a picture now and then!
And i love this photo….bedtime. A time i sometimes grow weary of…but know that they wont always need us to tuck them in or read a story to…this photo will be cherished! 🙂

Me, too, Naomi! I know you got the idea from somewhere else, but you were the one to suggest we do it for the theme for this group. So you still get the credit! =) Thank you for letting me be a part of it!
This is such a precious photo! I’m looking forward to seeing these photos each month. My son just did a report on Dr. Seuss and learned some really interesting things!
really? what a great person to do a report on! he was fascinating. what a mind. i think shel silverstein would be another really great writer to learn more about!
This is so very sweet. Can’t wait to see more of YOU!
thank you! not sure how i feel about it. i struggle with being in photos so much. sounds vain, i know. but i just don’t feel like the person i see and am having difficulty accepting the changes as i age. maybe this will help???
Beautiful! The mood is captured perfectly!
Thank you, Kimberly!
