“A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2014.”

Izzy: Freezing at the park… because we were fooled into thinking it was Spring-like outside when we saw the bright sun and blue sky… with red licorice and his red truck. But, oh, what fun he had anyway—chilly or not. Just to be out of the house and climbing around new surfaces. I could tell it did him a world of good. We can’t wait to do it again… or for warmer weather to do it again in. Come quickly, Spring. Toddlers are not very patient.

{By the way, just when do you stop calling your toddler a toddler? He hardly seems like a toddler to me. He’s almost three and looks like he’s almost five… couldn’t believe how long his legs looked sticking out of that swing at the park compared to last time we were there in Autumn of 2013. At almost three, is he still a toddler? He no longer toddles. He pretty much just runs and jumps. I think he’s officially become “little boy” and “toddler” no more.}

Adorable photo! Here’s hoping spring is on its way! I think I officially stopped calling mine toddlers around age 2 1/2. It seems so long ago…
yeah… that seems about right. in fact that seems to be for isaac when his overnight transformation from hardly talking and toddling to talking like a regular kid and sprinting happened. okay, not really sprinting. but basically, just a little version of us, and so not a toddler anymore. yes… spring please get here soon!
precious boy. what a joy!
p.s. i don’t know what happened. a month ago, i looked at the extended forecast for my bd and it said sunny and 60! 🙂 wishful thinking!
i don’t know what happened either, but the farmers’ almanac you gave ann did say that after your birthday, from the next day forward, it’s going to be nice!!!
Love this photo!
It cant stay winter forever, right?!
When does he turn 3? I dont know if i realized our boys were close in age! Im not ready to stop calling max a toddler!
thanks, naomi. he will be 3 in june. yeah, it doesn’t seem right to stop calling him a toddler. but i know that is because i am in denial and i don’t want to accept that he is growing like a weed before my very eyes. i want so much to freeze this stage. but that is how i’ve felt at every stage since he has been born. luckily, each one that comes is just as good as the one before it. when does your max turn 3 {or when did he if he already is}?
OH this is such a fun age. Of-course I say that about every age, but I really loved 3. They are just so darn cute. Love this photo and his hood over his adorable head of hair!
i took so many shots this day… and processed them all with this muted look. had intended on posting them all. but now i’m behind with so many more shots from different days to post. but at least i have a flickr album of them. with him talking so much now, it’s the most fun we’ve had with him yet.
