how i have waited for this day.
happy spring.

{great song about new beginnings here… a favorite of mine since i was… well, young. totally dating myself saying that. and totally laughing at the 80s accompaniment on this song. but totally love his voice… and even more, the words and message of this song. everyone needs new beginnings.}
.
Happy Spring!
to you as well, j.
oh that photo is gorgeous! is it recent? do you really have blossoms on your trees already?! if so, i’m so jealous. we had a massive snowstorm today and are sitting knee deep in snow and cold temps again. i’m so over winter!
oh, i guess i should have clarified that this was a “from the archives” photo. it was nicer than it’s been here, but not yet really “springy” here on this first day of spring. but it doesn’t matter to me. if the calendar says it’s spring, then i don’t care what the weather says. i’ve waited for this day for so long, i couldn’t wait for the weather to catch up to the calendar before i wrote about how happy i am it’s here. so i found the most springy photo i could and put the word “begin” on it, because today is the beginning of so much for me. and a new beginning is so symbolic of so much for me right now. we won’t see trees like this for another month or so yet. but i can hang on and wait, especially if i look at pictures to tide me over. i took this shot a couple years ago… i think the first spring that isaac was alive, so spring of 2012 maybe?? either that or 2011. there was a school by my old house that had the most gorgeous blossoming trees in spring. i went there and shot hundreds of photos that day. kind of miss it. will have to look for a new similar spot around my new house. sorry you had a yucky snow-filled first day of spring. keep lookin’ at my pic and pretend it’s what you see out your window. 🙂
This is the girls school. You should bring Mr I and visit us when they bloom so you can take more pictures of the trees. I thought i recognize this photot before. Love to see your beautiful photos. Needing some spring about now. 😉
would love to, J! you will have to be my eyes for me and let me know when those trees are in bloom so i don’t miss it. isaac can play with the girls and i will take pics. you know what’s funny? the day i shot those, it actually snowed. all those lovely trees had bloomed in the warm spring weather, and then the temps plummeted and it snowed. i froze getting those pics. but it was worth it! let’s hope there is no repeat of that this year.
I will let you know!
Yes! Happy spring! Love the photo. Oh how i cant wait for those blossoms to appear around here…
Ps. I owe you an email!
thanks, miss naomi. no hurries on the e-mail. i appreciate that you remember and have every intent on replying… that is the important part!!
Oh yes. It’s nice to know the snow will be melting soon and we will see buds on the trees. Can’t wait.
Sorry I’ve been absent lately. Evie was sick all last week and ended up having to be hospitalized and Darin is traveling for work and we are just now getting back to a routine and normal.
don’t apologize, friend. i did see the one post about her being sick, so i knew you had a lot on your hands at the moment. quite frankly, i don’t know how you do everything you do. i also need to get over to your blog to catch up. i realized why i thought you were not blogging lately. when i get my bloglovin’ email updates, it truncates the message. so if i don’t click to view the whole thing, i can only see certain blogs i follow that have posted. i think it puts all the “famous” blogs at the top… the ones who have tens of thousands of followers. so, sometimes, if several people have posted that day along with you, i won’t see yours. now i know to view the whole message so that i can know when you’ve posted. that said, i have a lot more catching up to do there than i realized. i just thought you were taking a break from blogging… maybe for lent or something. =)
I have not heard that song in so long.
I love … I can begin again …
Hugs and more hugs !
me too. L. it’s a great little string of words, isn’t it?
